The trees in my yard are deciduous and it really shows, the frost did a number here. My pentas all need to be cut to the ground, I know they are alive but they are completely brown. The gingers all fried and have already been cut, I know they will come back from the rhizomes. Cannas have already re-sprouted and the Ti's look bad and will need some trimming but they are all alive. I believe my garden got too dry and was not in good health when the cold hit. That is not like me, I did have my irrigation system set to water but it comes on in the middle of the night and I never realized our pump had burned up. Yesterday we turned the system on to check if any heads need replacing and oops, no water. D'Oh! I am hoping we do get some rain today, the pump cannot be replaced until Monday.
Minds are like parachutes; they work better when they are open.
