Gald you still have the 3fer and EXCELLENT about the 'free' extra plant.

I'd love to have a white phalenopsis or any dark flowering bromeliad (I don't do pastels, but whatever else ya got would be a good introduction to bromeliads for me).

I'd keep the phal and the bromeliad indoors 12 months, not try to put them outside for summer.

Inside for the winter, I do have a small (3x3) south facing window to keep whatever plants I bring inside. I DID learn by trial and error that some plants NEED to go dormant to reenergize. Most notably my salvia 'black and blue', which made a lovely foliage plant the first winter I had it inside but did NOT bloom the following summer. Now I keep plants like that in the basement (on the way to the laundry room) with scant water and no light. The year after I did that, my salvia bloomed quite nicely.

ANyway, thanks for the co-op and for being so willing to educate!
