February 12 2021 is Chinese New Year year - year of the Ox. I normally have quince blossoms for the occasion, but I dug up my plant 5 years ago because it got too big. Thankfully I still do have some flowering branches this time of the year to use. Blooming now is witch hazel - Hamamelis x intermedia.
