That is a beautiful bloom! I love the contrast between the orange and white--and those silvery leaves too. I see by my records that I did succeed in germinating that flowering maple, and I vaguely recall its felt-y foliage. But what happened to mine is anybody's guess!
I was able to get more seeds sown yesterday, including some artichokes, since I heard that it's actually possible to get them to produce the first year with the proper vernalization. Not that I eat artichokes all that much, but I do like how the plants look.
