Here's the answer: in as little as 36 hours! I have about ten cuttings in a clear glass jar and two of them have a new root from the leaf node about 1/8" long. Wow, like people had said, that was fast!

I wonder if the cellpack ones are doing as well? Probably - they haven't wilted at all. I'll let you know which of these cuttings does best in the long run.
