Rose Hampton is a great flower from my friend Dan Trimmer. This is one he developed when he still lived in the North, and it shows it in every way. He converted Sarah Sikes' Delightsome to a Tet and then crossed it with John Benz's One Step Beyond. It is similar to the latter but does not have the annoying habit of scape blasting that One Step Beyond occasionally does. It is a Dormant with blueish green foliage. It emerges a little later in the Spring than most so is less prone to getting clipped by late Spring freezes. It makes Big fans with scapes that here in USDA Zone 7a/b reach 30" to 32" with 4 way branches. Scape are VERY strong, and easily support the heavy-substanced flowers. The flowers easily reach 6" and are full. My established clump produces 6 to 10 scapes with 25 to 50 diamond dusted flowers spaced out over a long time. It readily produces seed, and produces dormancy in most seedlings.
