I don't think many places offer retiree health benefits anymore. Mostly government and union ones, ultimately paid for by tax payers. I don't know of anyone who got those things from a private company.
Funny how many think Medicare is free. There are some Advantage plans with no premium, but the coverage isn't necessarily good. Those are good if you never get sick and never take a vacation. We pay , I think, over $700/ month in premiums. I still spend over $1,000 for medications, and my husband went over the donut hole (over $4000) the last couple of years.
