all amaryllises here have leaves all year around, sometimes in a very cold winter (by a local standards, cold mean temperatures at night are under 40 F) they might lost part of the leaves. Belladonna is different, leaves only in winter, as soon as start worming up, it loose all it leaves, and sleeping till next winter, it should bloom in the end of summer, but nothing. It is planted as all other amaryllis, 1/3 is out.

I found one strange thing, I cannot grow bulb that were originally grown in a cold climate, like Holland, they will not survive a local summer. It is too hot here, temperature might soar over 100 F , with humility under 20% or even less. In March -April it changes very dramatically, we had 2 days ago almost 98F, today it is about 50F.
