Ian, sorry about your ankle, heal soon. Gotta get out to see the flowers, right? I don't know if wolf spiders are the ones we see all around our property, we just call them garden spiders. The ones I get unhappy about are black widow spiders and they are out here, too. I always wear gloves when I am out cleaning wooded areas around our house, they like old fallen tree limbs to hide in. Another thing to watch out for now that spring is here are snakes--I try to be extra careful when cleaning any flower bed, they could be hiding there. The close encounter I had five years ago with the water moccasin in one of the daylily beds is one too many.
