Sally, you may be right about this plant being snake root. I need to read the description again and watch for flowers.

I did want it to grow for the butterflies. Though I don't know if I want it in the yard by the back door if it can be toxic.

Zoe, I don't detect a minty fragrance. I think the stems are round and slightly red.

I'm not sure if I know the difference between round and square stems!

Now I need to decide what to do with the plant!

Sally, I wish I could replant it on a vacant lot!

The sun is shining today. So I took a couple more pictures.

One shows the plant with the multiple plants growing behind it.

Another picture shows the plant with leaves and roots.
