I look at them essentially as horizontally (bare root) mounted and keep them in maximum light. ( right under the glass ceiling) I water daily, but they dry up very fast in that spot.
I have one in a Bonsai dish, it attached itself firmly to that. I moved the other one last year to an epi-web basket, have to see how that works in a long run. At the moment the bonsai dish is winning.
