I would take that mistake, Gary, in a heartbeat. Depending on where that was located, an option may also be a seedling. Klehm did a ton of peony breeding too. It would be interesting to have known where this was dug and what it was near.
I 100% think that they really tried to run a great operation until their last day, with true to name cultivars. Toward the end, with the loss of José, their main plantsman, I could see where things could have gotten confused. But I also know things were well marked.
I don't think it looks like Vanilla Scnapps or Pastelegence. It will be nice to watch this one develop over time in your garden though. I like it. It's a nice full flower.
