if you just got it ....quarantine from other plants asap ...and return plant to seller ....reason: infested with spider mites

I would dump the potting mix in a seal-able container and send it off to the dump

hose down plant with water spray ...get every nook & cranny - let dry

leave plant not potted - no need to remove leaves

spray with the neem oil - follow instructions to a "T" ....exactly.... for: amount, how often and when to repeat ....get every nook & cranny -

watch closely .... spider mites have 5 life stages - and - assume all 5 stages are present ..... need to kill each and every stage - before the situation is under control ...leave one and you will need to start the treatment all over again

if after 10 days of neem oil treatment - and - spider mites are back - might try insecticidal soap - spray every 3 or so days - once dry - rinse off with water as insecticidal soap is no longer effective once dry

if after 16 days - and there are still spider mites ...you will need to move up to a miticide

don't throw neem oil, insecticidal soap & miticide all at once at your plant - too much can be harmful to plant and you

Spider mites love hot & dry conditions ....cooling off where you keep plants - and - increasing humidity will go a long way into keeping spider mites away
