Demetrius is probably one of my oldest Daylilies. It is a fabulous plant, always a heavy bloomer, with perfectly formed, ruffled yellow flowers. Some years they are more Golden, other years more lemony. Not sure why the color adjusts slightly.

Demetrius is also one of the most fragrant Daylilies in my garden, I would grow it for the scent alone, even if it wasn't such a nice healthy plant. I have divided it twice in 25 years but am never disappointed with the amount of bloom. Even though it's not a rebloomer, Demetrius still has a long season of bloom right in the middle and usually lasts for at least three weeks. I bought it on the recommendation of the Seawrights, who mentioned that Demetrius was used in a lot of their breeding programs for its good habits.

And I still love it, which is saying something!
