I just recognized your 'elephant bush' as what we call here a 'money plant'. The story is that if you have one in your house, money will come to you. I think most people have one around someplace just in case Smiling Mine was a housewarming gift and it was stuck away in a corner for awhile. I found it and put it out in full sun and it is looking much better. Some of the branches do hang over the sides of the pot naturally, but some seem to head straight up at least for awhile.

Doesn't this look like the same plant? The stems are much redder than they appear in this picture.
