The thing that happens to me is that in mid April frost still threatens, so I cannot move tender plants into the garden, but they have typically both outgrown their spaces and their welcome in my little seed-starting nook. I forget to water them - sometimes for more than a week at a time and they dry out completely. I went in there yesterday and everything was dried out except for three purple peppers. I planted them out, will see how they do. If they survive, they will be good seed stock - it's one drought tolerant plant.
