Now with a nice group of TB seedlings; good flowers, strong growers etc TB & wanting a certain color, look for the same which have more buds. I don't know what is available in Russia, but one may have to go away with the color to find a higher bud count. When produced return to the preferred color & try & get color/buds form/ growth to get what you wish. It should take several tries & Sergio doesn't wish to lose what he has gained. but just crossing to each other will not increase the buds. That search will have to bring in something else. Tougher with TBs than with medians.

In Russia, almost all varieties that are available in America are available, as Mid-America Garden sends plants from its garden to Russia, as well as varieties of Keppel, which is located nearby. Sutton Iris Garden and Shriners Garden also send their irises to Russia. The only question is the price - being limited in funds, I have to choose only some of the most desirable ones..

of course, I understand that simply crossing with each other is unlikely to give an increase in buds (although, for example, the sibling under the number has double buds on the branches, although the least interesting in terms of coloring). This year I tried to cross them with more branchy varieties. The question is what to do with the existing ones, whether it is worth choosing something from this, allowing a small number of buds or not.. Perhaps, in this class, this disadvantage is not a very determining factor.. You can draw an analogy, for example, with a fairly new variety "Sergey". It has two branches, one bud each, and two buds at the top (is this called a "terminal branch"? ). At least it blooms for me 2 years in a row and both times it had 4 buds. The stem is low, strong, the flowers are huge, and in general it looks quite harmonious, although the flowering period is not too long. By the way, I have a seedling, with a very similar stem and branching, and the number of buds (and even something similar in colors) "And I haven't decided what to do with it yet.".18-178D: Just Crazy X Mood Ring
