We have kept our blue rug juniper cuttings indoors for some time, but then moved them outside into the garden. Even though some have young roots developing, the tops of all of the cuttings are yellowing and drying out (was doing so indoors but not as bad). Last night we soaked them in water, helping a little, but not much. Since the cuttings are getting full sun now in the garden, is this the problem? We have kept them wet and even soaked the soil since they have been drying out. Or is this normal, since the cuttings are using their stored energy for their roots!? What are we doing wrong? Should we keep them fully submerged in water for the time being?
