Oh, how I love the sumac leaf color in the fall
@crawgarden. There are a couple very large specimens (over 10' tall now) of Staghorn Sumac along the access lane onto our rural property. They actually sit on our neighbor's parcel of land, but are in clear view of our drive onto our property, so we get to enjoy the color. They are covered with huge seed recemes. They say you can make a sort of pink lemonade drink from the seeds although I haven't tried that yet however. Pictures of them I took a couple years ago:
