I have a question for some of you who might know. What do you do to remove sooty mold stains on your hosta leaves? Apparently my huge hickory tree gets aphids every year. I am only guessing because my backyard gets a fine coating of sticky coating on everything after the tree already finished flowering. Plus there are lady bug larvae crawling underneath. Hostas are bug free. They are not photo worthy now but I will post some later.
I am going to try washing with 1T soap to 1 gallon of water to start.
Some of it peals off but some won't rub off.
