I had an order that came in from Bluestone this year. It wasn't bad.
I generally like small plants. With our clay, I prefer to have them get used to our soil as soon as possible. It just works better for me. So I was not pleased about Bluestone changing to larger plants in coir pots.
The order that I received was packed with nice cardboard inserts. I liked that but they could have done that without changing the size of the plants or adding the coir pots. The plants were moist and in great shape but so were the plants in the smaller pots in previous years. Plus, I live in the same state so they are shipped in one day. The plants are larger now.
I'm happy with my order but they've mostly lost me as a customer. Last year I bought 72 perennials from them. This year I only bought 10---and then only because they were all 50% off. I don't have anything negative to say about my order but I'd prefer a company who fits my needs better--one who sells small, inexpensive, healthy plants like Bluestone used to.
Yes, I took pix of the plants and packing just so I could post them here but I haven't downloaded them yet
