Annie,
Hubby and I are doing OK, sort of. Hubby was in the hospital for 2 days this past week. He had been feeling sort of winded and had chest pressure for about 2 weeks prior. Long story short, he had to have a stent put into a clogged artery. This is his 3rd now, and he'd had open heart surgery about 25 years ago.
Me? I started really having troublesome stomach issues this past year and changed to a new Gastro doctor about 2 months ago. A change of diet, a 2 week course of an antibiotic geared for IBS, and being more active (walks at nearby state parks) have made a significant difference in how I feel and look. I lost about 10 pounds and I now have more energy than I've had in a long time.
I still spend as much time gardening as I can, when it's NOT raining. We've been stuck in a rainy pattern for over a month now. It does cut back on having to water as often. We have had a few mini heatwaves in between (at least we have AC in the bedroom) but a few weeks of warm, not humid, sunny days would be very welcomed. Summer ... hot and humid ... doesn't really start to crank up here really til about mid-August. By then a lot of late Spring/early Summer flowers start to peter out, but the drought tolerant ones do fine.
Anyway, Happy Summer!
Jane
