After a couple of days I finally managed to better organize one of my shelves under lights. This is my Brachypetalum shelf.
All of my species plants such as Paphiopedilum niveum, leucochilum, bellatulum, concolor and godefroyae are all here.
Plus hybrids such as Paphiopedilum Greyi and Paphiopedilum conco-bellatulum are here. I figured to keep them all together in order to provide uniform care.
In this arrangement they can get more frequent watering and more frequent feedings. I am trying to fertilize once a month at full strength. The light duration and intensity remains the same.
In the wild these plants grow well shaded on limestone outcropings within the leaf litter. Moisture constantly runs over the limestone in the jungles of SE Asia where most of these are from. I am watering these guys now like once every 4 days which is like 7 times a month opposed to all my other Paphs. which get watered once a week. That's almost twice as much water.
If you oh are interested I'll give a shout out to the Orchid Inn in Ohio as one of my sources. Sam Tsui is the owner. My other source is Paphiopedilum Paradise on the west coast.
