It is a Dendrobium orchid from the Phalaenopsis sub section. Properly it is called Dendrobium Phalaenopsis. It is a type of orchid that likes a little sun each day. Water it well and let it dry between waterings. If it's in a 5" pot, you would water it every five days.
It appears to be down too deeply in that pot and it looks like it is growing in old sphagnum moss. That is not the appropriate media for this orchid. As I stated above, it needs to dry out between waterings. When you grow in sphagnum moss as a beginner, getting the proper watering schedule down right is difficult.

it is a combination of fir bark, charcoal, perlite and aliflor.
You should put it into a 4-5" pot and change media. Pot it in the pot an inch below the rim.
