Thank You for all this information. I may have the name of the catalog spelled incorrectly. I knew it didn't look right when I typed it but was drawing a blank and too lazy to look it up. The garden club we belong to is having a plant sale this coming Saturday, maybe I can find some new plants there. I'm always up early, just don't always get dressed right away unless we have to go somewhere at a specific time or Drs. appt., etc.

I will also look up that the daylily society in our area. I also need to study the sun and shade patterns on the side of my house. Right now I have at least 4 or 5 very mature hydrangea bushes that were planted by original owner back in late 1970-1980's..Gradually I have had several cut back and dug up and I'm thinking that side would be good for daylilies. Peonies grow great on that side also the hydrangeas and forsythia..I divided one of my pink creeping phlox and have transplanted some large hunks to use as a border on that side, in between the hydrangea and peonies. They will add color to that bed come next April. My creeping phlox were stunning this year but they need dividing again. I bought some new Emerald Blue plants this year so next year they should have spread nicely in another bed that gets morning and early afternoon sun.

Thanks for all the great information and sources and websites. Thanks for your kindness. Our used library store is a good source of garden books, so I will look for one on dayliies and Iris. I bought a large hardback all in color of tulips for like $2.50..Maybe there is one on daylilies.

Enjoy the rest of the day.
