Just wish I can find the time now to plant them and dig more sod up.
Everyday day until Tues.is tied up with drs.appts.for mother or visits/ lunch out with 3 of my grown kids.
I am unpacking and soaking the roots for a day ,and hope this keeps them from drying out .
In the past ,I have always gotten them in the ground within a few days.
48 iris is a big investment, and a lot to keep waiting to plant.I hope they will be ok.

don't worry!
Last year, I told myself I had a handle on my breathing ish, and wouldn't have a problem (a ha ha, so dumb), and delayed planting of Schreiners and MidAmerica irises from August to OCTOBER. They bloomed! Even the one that got run over soon after!

They are tough ladies, they can hang in there!
The Allergic Gardener salutes all of you wheezing on your hands and knees in the garden for love of your flowers.
