Corey, identification of newly emerging shoots can be very difficult unless the differences between plants overall charactur are extreme. I see stem color variation from year to year depending on many factors like cool, cloudy weather vs. warmer, sunny weather. Soil amendments, addition or depletion of micro nurtients and changes in pH also are influences affecting color. So, I could show you photos of my Satisfaction's stem and foliage at various stages over the past three years or so and it still wouldn't be of much help. See those pictures of Leftwoods White Henri. That color difference is typical and in many instances within the same garden it can be more pronounced even. Compound that with several Division and cultivars with hybrid blending (as Leftwood states), as you have, identification would be most difficult.

Sometimes people pull my ID sticks out to read them, then forget where they got them from and put them back in the wrong place. You'll probably just have to wait and see. I like being held in suspense like your circumstance; don't you?

Nice pictures Moby. I think you've had a pretty nice Spring so far and your garden must be looking fantastic!
