I'm ok with sedum and succulents for the most part but not the semps. If they are in containers the heat alone, shade or not, baked the roots. The dirt gets HOT. Also, whether they are in the ground or container the birds are constantly digging and pulling out just about anything they please. I had a 12 inch pot covered in small sedum. Dense. The birds ripped out every single little leaf.
