Thanks for the prayers and good wishes. Mom seems to be doing better today. She's stable, so that's good. We're still waiting on x-ray result to see about the formerly "twisted" stomach. No Covid, but there were a host of other issues. At least she seems to be out of the woods. Dad and my twin sister and BiL are there with eyes on, and they keep the rest of us well informed.

Tom, about the pickles... I don't have a recipe per se, but a method that works for me. It's not one for lots of cucumbers, nor something that can be kept for a long time, as I don't sterilize, and I do one jar at a time. Cut cukes go in the jar of choice with water, vinegar, salt, dill, and a smashed garlic clove. Portions: about 2/3 water to just less than 1/3 vinegar. The cukes are good for eating within a couple of days and get more sour with time. If they get to tasting too sour, swap out some of the brine for water. No cooking of anything, although some folk will heat up the brine and let it cool completely before adding. It's way easy, the cukes stay crunchy and they're good.

Margaret, sure hope things get to improving right soon. Group hug Good that you're eating well!

AG, nice bloom and good tip on the wine. I'll look for it.

Stuffed cornish hen for the two of us tonight. The DO wasn't here when I last made them and put in a request. I'm happy to oblige.
