Additionally, I am storing the date and time of every change made to your item list, and I can use that timestamp to make decisions in the software about the freshness of your list.

So, if you have a stale list (6 months old, perhaps) then I can decrease its priority in the publicly viewable area. It would appear at the bottom, with a note of caution letting you know that it's old and might not be accurate anymore.

The timestamp could also be use to send a system message reminder to that individual when there listing goes beyond certain milestone, such as every three month. Sending only to those with older listings might be better than my original idea of sending a message to everyone with plant listed for trade or sale.
