I grow this in MI. One of the darkest I have. Over last 5 years bud counts / scape as high as 27 and up to 4 way branching observed. Typically a bit taller than registered ~30" max scape height. Pod/pollen fertile. Now classified as a historic > 30 yrs old. It is being encroached on by adjacent DLs and a large hosta and is ready for division [after pods ripen Whistling ] in September. I do not fertilize this plant.
