The seedlings are starting to open now, they seem very similar to the parent.. Maybe a smidge lighter, but that's probably just the lighting.

Something else, maybe worthy of noting.. When the new shoots start on these, they are mostly green with a red tinged edge and then slowly transition to the darker leaves. I haven't caught them yet, but I'm pretty sure the leaf damage is from the band of house sparrows that came with the house.
