It would be more accurate if you observed both of them throughout the year.

What I would do, is, make an entry in your plant list as "Seudm seedling" or "Hylotelephium seedling" and "Sedum parent" , and when you post pohtos of them (Maybe once a week, once twice a week, or once a month perhaps) Label them with number or write the date in the description of the. plant photo when you upload..
Or, you could just quickly see if the new growth on the parent plant is the same
