I have several hanging baskets of which I arranged myself with a mixture of Impatiens, Verbena and other annuals during mid spring. I used a combination of Scotts potting soil with a mixture of Canadian peat moss with added Osmocote time release.
It seems after time the soil seems to harden even after daily watering. And now during watering, it seems that the water runs off and doesn't saturate that well. Can anyone please offer some advice relative to this issue??
