There will indeed be all the sorting options you could want. So categorizing by genus is, I think, a bit redundant and un-necessary.

For me personally, I'm using the categories as "locations" since that is what I want.

I've seen others categorize them by type of plant (bulb, succulent, etc).

You could even have a category called "Plants I saw at such-a-place arboretum" and everything in that category is marked as "Want". Smiling
