I will say fine sand is enough, btw, never use fertilizer or compost to sow seed. Will do more harm than good. The seed itself has enough energy to grow, wait until the seedling big enough, then slowly introduce fertilizer, if the seed is too young, giving fertilizer will kill them
If they look healthy, do nothing
