Hi. I was gifted three beautiful amaryllis at Christmas last year. In the late spring I planted them in the ground along the east side of my house (shaded) BEAUTIFUL LEAVES on all of them. Now it's September 3rd. I plan to dig them out this weekend, trim the roots and dead stuff, let sit for a week in the sun to dry out and let the leaves yellow, then cut the leaves down and put in a box in my basement until around November 13-14th. Then, repot and hope for the best for re-bloom. Am I on the right track here? I need some encouragement - lol (first try here) Whistling Oh, by the way, I am in Windsor, Ontario Canada.
