Besides nice light: keep your eye on the water level as they are heavy drinkers and I swear you can blink and it is in need of more. The other thing to warn you on about a sunny window - if you have temps that drop below freezing - pull them out overnight and set on the table or counter. I learned the hard way! And I had a few who's leaves were touching the glass and froze.
Once the roots get good and hairy you can put in the cutting a pot with dirt inside to over winter: good light, water and watch for dirt gnats or aphids. I keep mine under the grow lights in the winter and one thing I observe is that the colorings of the leaves may be much different then what you have while growing them outside. Sometimes they are more muted sometimes more colorful. And then the next thing is as the plant grows you can continue to take cuttings and repeat the process all winter long and have lots of plants by spring.
