I have them in pots and hanging baskets. I had too many so I had to give some away but now the others producing more babies. I'll be starting my experiment soon with the bathroom light idea. I have no window in the bathroom so its very dark in there and I would like to have some plants in my bathroom. I'm going to remove the cover and change it to a homemade clear cover to get maximum light from it then I will make some fixings to hang the spider plant directly under the light and leave it on from 8AM to 8PM. It would be interesting to see the results.

The light seems to be pretty bright as it is but gives out better light with the cover removed. Before I removed the cover I thought the florescent bulb was a 4000k color temperature which is ok but its actually a 6000k color temperature florescent bulb when I removed the cover which is even better for plants. I get around 3000 plus lux near the light and about 400 lux being the furthest away so I could possibly add a few more plants. I could have a bathroom of spider plants I may add a ZZ plant or two in there if all goes well.
