Finally last week my 90 year old nursery woman sent me her last batch of bare root roses. Way too late in the season...they all arrived well leafed out and...
well it is my best batch of...
200 rose bushes that were added during this season (

bringing my collection to a grand total of 550 bushes (aprox.)
Fortunately, I don't belong to any rose society....
With her second and last shipment of the season I gave my nursery lady a free hand to choose
what she thought I ought to have...
So ( this is about blind trust--mutual).... she dispatched 8 bushes of 'Louisa Stone'; 8 'Winchester Cathedral'; 8 ' Tineke'; 7 'James Galway', 4 'Dapple Dawn' and quite a few more in duplicate pairs. All in all 58 bushes. And of course no payment date...whenever it suits my wallet...
Yes, these pre-modern times miracles do happen sometimes...
Of course we spoke over the phone a few times and agreed about quite a few more for 2022!...
she is starting an iris side buisiness, mainly TBI's...
We could keep playing this game eternally...
