I praise the Lord that I'm gifted with so many opportunities in loving...
because I do recognize them as such,
I praise the Lord, that I was and still am able to love my wife dearly...
like everything else that my internal radar can find and place my loving heart onto it...
I praise the Lord for giving me new friends here at this iris forum...
I find myself silently loving them for their various aspects each one places its attention...
I can keep praising the Lord thus...for endless sentences...
Actually, although I obviously miss my wife on a day to day basis, I praise the Lord that I can be saddened, because that means that I loved her deeply. I praise the Lord, for providing me that possibility: of just being saddened.
What really saddens me are the millions that have never felt love or hope or faith or sadness and lead a meaningless life, unwilling to take chances of loss or suffering, meanwhile muffling all their feelings and emotions way under into beyond the deepest basement. They are biologically alive but dead as human souls.
In comparison, I have so much to enjoy and smile at, that being sad is one other reason to be happy about!
Like any other human being I've got plenty to regret. Mainly of the very many plants that found their demise because of my own ignorance or lack of understanding their needs. Internet gardening sites are very tricky. One can easily become deceived by simple advice that...is not applicable to one's conditions. Of course ignorance can only be overcome by organized study: information plus trying out.
I thank this group for their generosity and willingness to share what they know.
