We're suppposed to receive some hot, humid weather here this weekend, but since we'll be going to the mountains, maybe it won't be quite so bad.

Most of my DA roses are smallish, but Gertrude Jekyll can become leggy. I trimmed those 2 large canes of Tradescant that were growing up into the ligustrum this morning and my Mary Rose is not looking very good. I think she needs a better location, along with Portmeirion and Anne Boleyn. AB is in partial shade, which I thought she could handle, but she doesn't bloom well. Mary Rose hasn't bloomed at all so far this year, so I know she's in for a change of scene.
I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day. ~F. Frankfort Moore, A Garden of Peace
