Poor nootkatensis. Batted around between so many genera: Chamaecyparis, Cupressus, Callitropsis and Xanthocyparis. Now there is a proposal to erect a new genus Hesperocyparis. (Adams, et al 2009) The molecular genetics in this paper are persuasive.
I think we should think of this as Callitropsis nootkatensis once again.
