I've had Frans Hals for a long time. I think it was in my original group of antique Daylilies that I picked up in Vermont at a now defunct farm in the early 90s. That being said, the plant has been moved around my yard a few times so it hasn't really formed a giant clump.

Currently, it's in a pretty good location up by the house. Frans Hals bloomed from July 16 to August 1. I think I must have thrown some of it in the woods because I only have a few fans. But judging by what people have said here, if I just leave it alone, it should expand pretty well. I like the flower, it reminds me of Alnilam, except brighter and narrower. It also blooms once Alnilam is finished, in the same bed, extending my bicolor season.
