Frank, after looking at the database for Lotsa Dots, I see what you mean about the comment "whereda dots". I have seen the dots in my garden, but a lot of the time, it looks more like stippling, which according to the AHS dictionary, is: "On daylily flowers, stippling usually refers to small dots which may occur in the eyezone, over the entire surface of the tepals, along the edge of an eye, or only at the tip of the tepals." https://daylilies.org/daylily-...

This is probably my best picture showing the larger brownish purple dots.

But a lot of the time, the blooms look more stippled with a few large dots.
