I have had mine for about30 years and it never fails to please. Due to wear and tear, the lines holding the tubes have broken twice but my husband easily repaired them. I love the sound when I'm in bed at night and its a little stormy outside. Very soothing.

I agree with others though. Find retail places where you can listen to them. The smaller they are the higher the tone. The larger the lower the tone.

It's all about each person's preference.
