Good advice about coir pots!! That would be a great "Tip of the Day"!!!

I always have gotten plants out of those things before planting.

Root to soil contact is just critical, isn't it?

I am always surprised when companies advise you to leave them in those pots when you plant
.
Perhaps they think disturbing the roots that may have grown into the coir will set the plants back.

However, lack of root to soil contact will probably be worse, IMHO.
