Don't do it! The roots will quickly or immediately fill the drain holes, and your plant won't be able to drain, and will rot.

How about putting something in the hole under them, like, cut a plastic jug into sort-of flat pieces, so that the roots go bonk instead of straight down like carrots from hades?
