How exciting! I've seen a few Bald Eagles over the years in different places. We have some at Promised Land State Park and in the Lake Wallenpaupack area. I've seen a few adult ones in both places flying over the lakes. I did spot a juvenile about a year ago perched in a tree near Lake Wallenpaupack.
The strangest sighting was in southwest Florida about 20 years ago. My son and daughter-in-law had just had their first baby and hubby and I went to the hospital to visit. As we were leaving we watched an adult eagle swoop down out of nowhere, and snatch a fish out of a beautiful pond on the grounds of the hospital. Couldn't believe it! You never know!
