I seldom visit this mat of banana trees so imagine my surprise when I found it flowering. This is only the second time I've ever had bananas in 20 yrs. This particular mat gets warmth from the river so that might be why it was large enough to flower this yr. I thought I had lost my main grouping from the left over freezes that we got from TX this Feb. They did finally come back but only got to about 5 ft as opposed to the normal 15.
